I am also one of the victims in this society Greenwood Residency Karachi. I raised my complaints at PM twice but when it went to Sindh Government’s babu, they closed it without any relief.
I paid 5.5 millions in 2008 and till today grey structure is not completed. Hafeez Butt brought another notorious face Babar Chugtai, famous for MQM killings, now the so called new owner is asking for 3 millions more. The project is not even registered in his name.
In Pakistan thousands of societies have looted Overseas Pakistanis. More than 450 families are waiting for their properties in this project alone. I am also trying to connect to PM live call so I present this case and another one on national interest question.

The cunning invisible owner of the Billy’s GreenWood_Residency, Karachi project and Orient_Hosuing Services Hafeez Butt and Shahmir Chughtai are printing letters without signatures and with a statement at the end of the letter. "This is a computer generated letter and does NOT require a signature"………………. The Builder is a Fraud. The con-man is demanding 25-30 lacks extortion money in addition to 500 allottees paid their dues in 2009 and waiting for their Properties since then. The Structure is NOT completed yet and the builder is giving advertisements in the newspapers for possession. The builder FRAUDED with 500 allottees who have paid more than 10 Billion Rupees in total since 2009 and are still waiting for their Properties……………….I request all regulatory agencies/ authorities to please take action immediately against the builders who are looting overseas Pakistanis with this kind of Fraud………We've been suffering for last 13 years and this guy is insulting people. Last year I told the group after talking to him that he wants to cancel all bookings so he can sell them with new increased prices. Now he is acting on it.

Demand of Rs.20-25 lacs as price escalation(See Clause 5-1.4) rather than to pay compensation at the prevailing Bank rate to the allottees for entire delayed period from the year, 2005 to date of completion (See Clause 5-1.21) by the Builder is against the SBCA Building Town Planning Regulations which is provided here for information :-
SBCA BUILDING TOWN PLANNING REGULATIONS. CHAPTER -: 5Clause 5-1.4. Determination of Price and Cost Estimate.
A developer shall submit the Selling Price of various units for registration purposes with details specification and work program for the project as specified in Form DNP-l Annexure (3) & (4) respectively.
This price shall be quoted in all the advertisement and promotion literature published by the developer, no escalation in the cost shall be allowed except where inflation (as defined by the Ministry of Finance) is above double digit for particular year in such case excess over the double Digits shall be the percentage of price increase. In this case the developer shall simply inform the Authority, along with relevant inflation figures. No escalation shall be granted to the developer who has failed to complete the project in time.
Clause 5-1.21. Delay in Completion and Compensation for period of Delay
The Builder/Developer shall complete the project and hand over physical possession of the unit complete in all respect to the allottee by the time specified by the Authority. In case of delay in handing over possession the Developer shall pay mark-up to the allottee at the rate of prevailing banks rate on the total amount paid, for the period of delay calculated from the completion time specified by the Authority or extension made thereof.
Clause 5.1.24. Sale or Transfer of the Project
No Developer shall sell or transfer the whole project to any one for sale or transfer the units of the project to the general public, unless prior intimation to the Authority is given and No Objection from the 2/3rd majority of the allottees is obtained. The new Developer shall assume all responsibility and liabilities of the agreement made between outgoing Developer and allottees, in addition the new builder/developer must get the previous NOC issued by the Authority revised/revalidated in his favour.

Dear Friends, I am new to this group and it is my first post in this group. I would like to thanks to Mr. Harris for creating this group for GWR suffering customers. I want to share my experience with you people that me and my cousin booked 2 condominiums in Tower 3 and 4 in July 2005, exactly 11 and half years ago (as per the contract they were suppose to complete the project in 42 months from the project announced date). We paid all installments, extra charges and even we have paid all development charges etc. Nothing is outstanding except a few thousands rupees which we have to pay at the time of possession. We have nothing in our hands after paying huge money and waiting for many years.
I would say that it's really our blind mistake that we booked in Green Wood Residency. We found that the previous management was a cheater. I came to know that they took our money and invested in Dubai and there they lost the money which has delayed the project. Still there are no confirming dates when they are going to complete the project……..
